Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft is looking for a Social Media Manager (m/w/d) for its ATHENE office, offering significant autonomy and creative freedom. You will be responsible for designing and managing our social media presence from the ground up, playing a key role in communicating complex scientific content to a broader audience.
What You'll Do
- Manage and conceptually develop existing social media channels (LinkedIn, Mastodon, Bluesky, YouTube)
- Build and establish new social media channels on TikTok and Instagram
- Plan, create, and implement social media campaigns and tailored content within a scientific context
- Produce images and videos for various social media channels
- Develop and implement new formats with an eye on current social media trends
- Support trade fairs and events with a focus on social media communication
- Evaluate and report on social media activities, including KPIs
- Derive strategic optimization and positioning measures to further develop the channels
What We're Looking For
- Completed university degree or comparable qualification in Marketing, Communication, Media, or Social Media Management
- At least 2-3 years of professional experience in a social media environment
- Creativity and a good sense for target-group-specific content on different platforms (LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)
- Confident handling of content creation: image editing, storytelling, video editing
- Practical experience with design and video tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Express, Premiere), DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or Canva
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in German and English
- Interest in science and communicating complex content in an understandable way
