Responsibilities
- Reply to comments and DMs in a warm, playful, on-brand voice
- Reshare tagged stories and comment on tagged posts in a timely manner
- Engage authentically in our brand community spaces
- Flag sensitive, urgent, or unclear messages to the founder promptly
- Contribute to our brand rep program—the founder leads it, but you’ll have a real voice in shaping how we engage our reps and dreaming up fun ways to keep them excited and involved
- Draft captions and content concepts for review
- Create story graphics in Canva using brand templates
- Reel/TikTok editing/creation
- Spot trends, seasonal moments, and community highlights worth sharing—and move quickly when something is worth jumping on
- Track performance, plan ahead, and brainstorm fun content ideas, keeping us intentional and a few steps ahead
Requirements
- 1–2 years managing social media for a brand, preferably e-commerce or small business
- Fluent in Instagram, you understand how the platform works and what good engagement looks like
- Comfortable with Canva, TikTok, Pinterest, and basic content editing tools
- Reliable and consistent, you don’t need reminders to check in; you just show up
- Quick on your feet, when a trend pops up or a moment is worth jumping on, you recognize it and move without waiting to be told
- Genuinely curious and not afraid to ask questions—you’d rather ask once and get it right than guess and go sideways
- A strong communicator who takes initiative—you proactively flag things, give ETAs when plans shift, and never go quiet when something is unclear
- Resourceful and self-directed, you figure things out, try things, and loop in only when it actually warrants it
- Warm, genuine communicator who can nail a brand voice quickly
- A pet person at heart, you’ll feel right at home here

Additional Information
- Independent contractor (1099), part-time, approximately 10 hours per week
- Compensation: $200/week flat rate, based on deliverables and services provided (not hours tracked)
- Regular check-ins during this window (once an hour) are important to maintaining our community response standards. Content work, drafts, and other deliverables are flexible on timing.
