MMGY Global is looking for a Social Community Manager to join our social media department. In this role, you will assist the team with monitoring, community management, content writing, execution, and reporting for our clients in the hospitality, travel, and entertainment industries. You'll support strategic social media marketing plans and help execute online initiatives that inspire people to see the world differently.
What You'll Do
- Develop content for a variety of social channels including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and X.
- Review and source user-generated comments and posts in a quick and timely manner.
- Proactively and reactively respond to comments to foster a positive community and add value.
- Generate audience conversations and strengthen social communities for brand channels.
- Independently write and source imagery for editorial calendars.
- Stay up to date on social trends and pop culture moments.
- Work alongside social media managers and social content producers to develop editorial calendars.
- Ensure work produced meets quality standards.
- Aid client relationships at the project level.
- Assist in creating monthly social media reports that analyze activity and provide future recommendations.
- Ensure adhesion to strategic direction.
What We're Looking For
- 1+ years of relevant experience, including internships.
- Recent experience managing social media communities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of how content is written specifically for social platforms.
- Knowledge of all forms of social media interactions.
- Experience with social media marketing tools.
- Hands-on experience working within Facebook, X, Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Very high attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly in the proper social media “voice” and “tone”.
- A “no task is too small” attitude with a desire to collaborate across teams from ideation to creation.
- Strong project management skills.
- A highly organized doer with an exceptional ability to multitask, who will take initiative and execute.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks for several clients simultaneously while maintaining quality.
Nice to Have
- Prior advertising agency experience.
- Travel industry experience or knowledge.
- A degree in marketing, communications, or a similar field, or equivalent experience.
