Outpost is looking for a Social & Community Manager to shape how our story is told across the global space industry. You will own the rhythm of our social presence, turning engineering progress and company milestones into clear, compelling narratives while engaging directly with the operators and founders driving the future of space.
What You'll Do
- Lead day-to-day publishing across Outpost’s social channels, primarily LinkedIn and X, ensuring our voice is timely, credible, and engaging.
- Build and manage a dynamic content pipeline tied to company milestones, launches, and major moments across the space industry.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, business development, and leadership to transform technical progress into clear, compelling social storytelling.
- Engage directly with conversations across aerospace and defense communities on platforms such as X, LinkedIn, Reddit, Discord, and technical forums.
- Stay closely attuned to industry discussions, identifying emerging narratives, influential voices, and opportunities for Outpost to contribute meaningfully.
- Monitor sentiment around Outpost and key industry developments, proactively surfacing insights and potential risks.
- Analyze social performance and provide reporting on engagement, reach, and audience growth to inform strategy and improve impact.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience managing social media channels and community engagement, preferably in a technical or B2B industry.
- Ability to translate complex, technical subject matter into clear, compelling content for diverse audiences.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics tools, and content strategy.
- Excellent writing and communication skills with a keen eye for detail and brand voice.
- Proactive and self-directed, capable of managing multiple projects and staying ahead of industry trends.
- Genuine interest in the space industry and a desire to engage deeply with its community.
