About the Role
The Site Security Guard ensures the safety and security of personnel, assets, and facilities by maintaining a visible presence, conducting patrols, and following established procedures for access control and incident reporting.
Responsibilities
- Monitor facility entrances and exits to control access for personnel and vehicles
- Conduct regular patrols of buildings and surrounding areas to identify safety hazards
- Respond promptly to security breaches, alarms, or emergency situations
- Document incidents and complete detailed reports as required
- Enforce company safety and security policies across all site operations
- Verify identification of visitors and issue temporary access credentials
- Operate security equipment including surveillance systems and communication devices
- Assist in emergency evacuations and coordinate with first responders
- Maintain logs of daily activities and security checks
- Report suspicious behavior or potential threats to supervisors
- Support fire and safety drills by guiding personnel and monitoring procedures
- Ensure perimeter fencing and access points remain secure
- Collaborate with management to improve site security measures
- Monitor parking areas for unauthorized vehicles or safety violations
- Escalate maintenance issues that could impact security or safety
Compensation
Competitive hourly wage based on experience and location
Work Arrangement
On-site, full-time with scheduled shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Team
Part of the facilities and safety operations team responsible for daily site security
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand or walk for up to 10 hours per shift
- Frequent climbing, bending, and stair navigation required
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds when handling equipment or barriers
Work Environment
- Outdoor exposure in all weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain
- Industrial setting with potential exposure to machinery and vehicles
- Shifts may include weekends, holidays, and overnight hours
