Responsibilities
- Lead a team responsible for creating, executing, and sustaining a comprehensive Configuration Management Plan and audit strategy, covering processes, tools, and infrastructure to meet requirements.
- Keep current and accurate configuration records for the full scope of the Place of Performance, including original sources and digital twin representations.
- Serve as the primary representative for configuration management in all Integrated Product Team leadership meetings and briefings.
- For Government Furnished Property, follow AFMAN 17-1203 by using the Department of the Air Force systems currently approved by APSR, DPAS, and CMDB until transition to the updated network environment.
- While operating on Legacy Networks, adhere to Department of the Air Force policies for configuration and change control.
- Assist lead engineers in managing configuration of architectural and design documentation to ensure alignment with current system layouts and configurations.
- Manage and maintain the SMARTLib documentation repository and other configuration control platforms.
- Enforce appropriate access permissions for controlled documents and configurations, conduct configuration audits, and support configuration management on customer-facing project portals.
