Jabil is seeking a Site Reliability Technician to join the Cloud Test Software Development team. You will be integral to the daily operations and development of our Cloud Test Platform Infrastructure, which is deployed at multiple production facilities worldwide. Your primary focus will be providing first-line response to production issues and maintaining the site's test infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Provide sustaining support and maintenance for manufacturing server (L10) and rack (L11-L12) level test software and infrastructure at production facilities.
- Support current site manufacturing test infrastructure and assist with future expansions, deployments, and assembly.
- Maintain detailed documentation for test infrastructure installations, upgrades, and management.
- Communicate infrastructure enhancements and provide insights based on site operational challenges and uptime.
- Support manufacturing test incident response, analysis, and corrective actions.
- Participate in closed-loop analysis and responses to factory test failures.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on test infrastructure, including MDF, IDF, and SUT TORs.
What We're Looking For
- 1-3 years of experience in software engineering and/or IT operations and infrastructure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven experience working in multi-site and multi-cultural environments.
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages: Python, Java, BASH.
- Strong understanding of Linux fundamentals, specifically CentOS/Ubuntu.
- Familiarity with hardware and API solutions for controlling L10 devices: IPMI, Redfish, mprime, FIO, Linpack, ptugen, memtester.
- Experience with leading-edge networking systems, hardware, software, and protocols including enterprise ethernet datacenter switching/routing at L1, L2, and L3 (e.g., BGP, DHCP Relay, ECMP).
- Demonstrated ability to communicate infrastructure improvements and report on site performance, uptime risks, and reliability trends to leadership.
- Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally, up to 10%.
Nice to Have
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with C or C++.
- Familiarity with creating and configuring Virtual Machines (VMs) using VMWare (e.g., DHCP, PXE boot, nginx).
- Experience with Arista CloudVision.
