Akamai Technologies is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer Intern to create solutions that improve automation and efficiencies across our internal teams. You will drive automation and operational excellence while supporting customer-facing applications and infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Expand the functionality of internal automation tools written in Bash and Python.
- Handle system configuration automation using SaltStack.
- Manage CI/CD mechanisms.
- React to and investigate incidents and external support requests.
- Create and expand Terraform projects.
- Set up monitoring and create Grafana dashboards.
What We're Looking For
- Current student in Computer Science or a related field.
- Expertise in Linux system internals.
- Good command of Bash and Python for automation, diagnostics, and tool development.
- Experience with SaltStack or other configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Solid grasp of networking fundamentals.
- Familiarity with observability/monitoring ecosystems such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Knowledge of Git and version control workflows.
