Kraken is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer II to join our platform engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the foundational infrastructure that supports our global services.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure
- Develop automation tools and processes for deployment, monitoring, and incident response
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure service availability and performance
- Analyze system performance and implement improvements to increase efficiency
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve service design and operability
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in an SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering role
- Strong proficiency with a major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or Pulumi
- Proven ability to write automation scripts in Python, Go, or similar languages
- Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with observability tools (metrics, logging, tracing)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Work Mode
This is a remote position. Candidates must be based in the East Coast, USA, or be willing to work within East Coast hours.
