Moniepoint is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our mission-critical financial infrastructure. You will design and implement systems that support millions of transactions daily, with a focus on automation, monitoring, and incident response.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems for our financial infrastructure.
- Implement and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure system health and performance.
- Develop automation tools and processes for deployment, configuration, and incident response to reduce manual toil.
- Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response, including post-mortem analysis and remediation.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve system architecture, performance, and reliability from design through deployment.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role in a high-traffic environment.
- Strong background in Linux/Unix administration and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, Ruby) for automation and tooling.
- Deep knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
Nice to Have
- Experience in the fintech, payments, or banking sector handling sensitive financial data.
- Knowledge of database administration and performance tuning (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis).
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
- Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards in financial services.
