This role involves building and operating a managed SaaS platform in the cloud, with a strong focus on network architecture, security, compliance, and automation. The engineer will support secure private connectivity, implement monitoring solutions, and ensure infrastructure efficiency and resilience across public cloud providers.
Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and manage secure network configurations in cloud environments, including private connectivity, IPSEC VPNs, and firewall policies.
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity problems spanning cloud and on-premises systems.
- Partner with security teams to advance security initiatives and strengthen risk mitigation strategies.
- Maintain adherence to compliance standards such as SOC2 and HIPAA through proper controls and operational practices.
- Enhance infrastructure reliability, scalability, and security through continuous improvements in deployment, monitoring, and configuration management.
- Automate operational workflows and infrastructure provisioning using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools.
Requirements
- Professional experience with enterprise networking technologies including IPSEC, Palo Alto, Cisco, and cloud networking services.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deploy secure, compliant network architectures in hybrid cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), particularly in services like VPC and VPN Gateway.
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools such as tcpdump, wireshark, netstat, and dig.
- Proficiency with automation and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Helm.
Nice to Have
- Practical experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.

Compensation
US national base pay range: $165,000 - $225,000 USD. Equity in the form of stock options. Eligible positions may receive commission or variable compensation through the company's incentive program.
