About the Role

Site Manager - Hot Section Engineering will oversee engineering operations at a specialized airfoil production facility in Asheville, North Carolina. This role is responsible for guiding a diverse team of engineers and ensuring seamless technical coordination across product development, manufacturing, and quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a cross-functional engineering team supporting casting and machining operations
  • Provide hands-on technical direction for production and process improvements
  • Coordinate with Integrated Product Teams, operations, and quality to align engineering deliverables
  • Support the integration of current and new components into the manufacturing workflow
  • Advance the adoption of new design and manufacturing technologies at the site
  • Drive implementation of Model Based Definition, Manufacture and Inspection (MBDMI) practices

Qualifications

A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering—or a related field—is required, with at least 12 years of relevant experience. Candidates with an advanced engineering degree may qualify with 10 years of experience. US Citizenship is mandatory due to government contracting requirements.

Preferred candidates will have deep knowledge of turbine airfoil manufacturing processes—including casting, machining, and coating—with at least five years in related roles. Demonstrated leadership, project coordination, and strong communication skills are essential. A Master’s in Engineering is a plus.

Work Environment

This is primarily an onsite role located in Asheville, NC. The position may involve shift differential for second or weekend night shifts. Flexible scheduling options are available, and the interview process may require in-person participation.

Benefits & Compensation

Compensation ranges from $157,200 to $298,800 annually, with eligibility for annual incentive programs based on individual and company performance.
