About the Role
The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining a high-performing Shopify store, including theme customization, app integration, performance tuning, and ongoing technical support to ensure a seamless shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement custom Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Customize store layouts to align with brand identity and user experience goals
- Integrate third-party apps and tools to extend store functionality
- Optimize site performance for fast loading and mobile responsiveness
- Ensure store compliance with accessibility and SEO best practices
- Troubleshoot technical issues affecting store functionality
- Maintain security updates and implement best practices for data protection
- Collaborate with team members to define feature requirements
- Conduct testing across browsers and devices to ensure consistency
- Manage product catalog setup and organization
- Configure and maintain payment and shipping options
- Support marketing initiatives through landing page development
- Track and analyze store performance using Shopify analytics and other tools
- Implement conversion rate optimization strategies
- Handle domain and DNS configuration for the Shopify platform
- Provide documentation for store setup and custom features
- Assist with store migration if required
- Monitor store uptime and resolve outages promptly
- Ensure checkout process is seamless and user-friendly
- Update content and imagery as needed
- Support inventory and order management workflows
- Maintain version control for theme files
- Work within Shopify’s platform limitations and guidelines
- Respond to change requests and new feature development
- Ensure legal compliance including privacy policy and terms of service
Nice to Have
- Experience with headless Shopify implementations
- Knowledge of Shopify Plus features
- Background in UX/UI design principles
- Experience with A/B testing tools
- Familiarity with Google Analytics 4
- Understanding of GDPR and privacy regulations
- Experience with email marketing integrations
