Jobgether is hiring a Shopify Developer, Tech Lead to lead the evolution of a high-performing Shopify ecosystem, driving growth and engagement through innovative eCommerce solutions. This role combines hands-on development, strategic planning, and leadership within our dynamic, hybrid work environment.
What You'll Do
- Architect and develop engaging, high-performing Shopify store themes to drive sales and user acquisition.
- Collaborate with UX and UI teams to create inventive and seamless front-end experiences.
- Lead API strategy and integrations using Shopify’s REST and GraphQL Admin APIs.
- Ensure smooth connections with third-party apps, marketing tools, and platform APIs.
- Set up and manage webhooks for real-time data syncing, error handling, and retries.
- Test, debug, and optimize website performance for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Mentor junior developers, review code, and define standards to improve team delivery.
- Manage technical resources across agency and nearshore teams to ensure high-quality solutions.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of software development experience, preferably in eCommerce.
- 5+ years of Shopify front-end development experience.
- 3+ years in an Architect or Tech Lead role.
- Strong expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, ES6+, and Liquid templating.
- Experience with Shopify Storefront API, custom themes, and third-party app integration.
- Solid understanding of Shopify admin system, AJAX API, meta fields, and responsive design.
- Knowledge of performance optimization, caching strategies, and eCommerce security best practices.
- Excellent communication, documentation, project planning, and organizational skills.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.

- Compensation: $170,000–$185,000
