Sunbelt Rentals of Canada seeks an experienced Shop Foreman (Power & HVAC) to lead our service team. You will supervise employees engaged in repairing and maintaining rental equipment, coordinating the workload for maximum efficiency and productivity while ensuring quality workmanship.
What You'll Do
- Instruct, assist, and train service technicians in best practices for equipment repair and safety.
- Perform inspections of completed repairs to ensure thoroughness and quality.
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline processes.
- Work cooperatively with other departments to provide seamless customer service.
- Direct service technicians and yard staff in daily operations.
- Schedule service, maintenance, and breakdown responses for equipment in the workshop or at customer job sites.
- Monitor all equipment to ensure repairs are properly designated to the correct customer, supplier, or profit center account.
- Assist the Profit Center Manager in training employees, planning and assigning work, and resolving conflicts.
What We're Looking For
- Valid Driver’s license.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- 1-2 years of mechanical experience within the Rental Industry or a similar field.
- Proven customer relations and communication skills.
- Basic computer understanding to enter data into a terminal or PC.
- Knowledge of methods, materials, and tools required to repair and maintain rental equipment.
- Proven safety record.
Nice to Have
- Trade school or college degree (bachelor's or associate's).
Team & Environment
You will assist the Profit Center Manager and direct the daily activities of the service department.
