About the Role
This role focuses on enhancing serviceability and reliability of products through engineering support, documentation development, and collaboration with field teams to resolve technical issues and implement improvements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain technical service documentation including manuals and repair guides
- Collaborate with field service teams to diagnose and resolve equipment performance issues
- Analyze field failure data to identify recurring problems and recommend design changes
- Support product lifecycle improvements through engineering change management
- Create service bulletins and technical advisories for global field teams
- Work with cross-functional teams to validate service procedures and tools
- Participate in root cause analysis for critical product failures
- Provide technical expertise during new product introduction for serviceability
- Develop training materials for service technicians
- Ensure compliance with technical standards and regulatory requirements
- Interface with manufacturing and design teams to improve field service efficiency
- Track and report on service-related product performance metrics
- Assist in warranty claim evaluations with technical assessments
- Support aftermarket parts strategy with technical input
- Evaluate and recommend service tools and diagnostic equipment
- Maintain product configuration databases for service applications
- Respond to technical inquiries from regional service centers
- Contribute to reliability improvement programs
- Participate in product audits and field visits
- Support standardization of service processes across regions
- Use data analytics to drive proactive service solutions
- Coordinate with suppliers on component-level service challenges
- Ensure technical accuracy of service information in digital platforms
- Support certification and recertification processes for equipment
- Promote continuous improvement in service engineering practices
