Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc. (MEAU) is hiring a Service Engineer II to provide critical technical support in the greater Baton Rouge, LA area. In this role, you will use your knowledge of electro-mechanical systems to service and support customers both onsite and remotely, ensuring their operational uptime and satisfaction.

What You'll Do

• Install, program, calibrate, tune, and maintain Mitsubishi Electric Factory Automation components and solutions at customer sites.
• Utilize in-house diagnostic systems, simulators, and programming tools to troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Present and sell value-added services such as CloudCNC, extended warranties, control upgrades, and training to help customers achieve their UPTIME goals.
• Promote the sale of spare parts to further support customer machine reliability.
• Document all service activity, technical claims, and customer inquiries in the company database with a focus on data integrity.
• Collaborate with and take guidance from Senior Engineers to resolve complex technical challenges.

What We're Looking For

• A BSEET degree or equivalent related experience.
• Some experience in field service for industrial automation.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical tools for machine repair and a strong mechanical aptitude.
• Hands-on proficiency with volt meters, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including schematics and logic diagrams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to build effective customer and colleague relationships.
• Organization skills to manage travel plans and service call schedules.
• Flexibility to travel, sometimes with limited notice, to meet customer needs.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Computerized Numeric Controls (CNC) products is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with robots, motion controllers, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
• Additional experience in field service roles.

• Compensation range: $75,000 - $87,000 annually.
