About the Role
The role involves leading yield improvement initiatives by analyzing semiconductor fabrication data, diagnosing process-related issues, and working cross-functionally with process and design teams to enhance yield and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Lead root cause analysis for yield excursions in semiconductor manufacturing
- Evaluate process data to identify systematic yield loss mechanisms
- Collaborate with process integration and device teams to resolve yield issues
- Develop and apply statistical methods for yield modeling and prediction
- Support high-volume manufacturing by monitoring yield trends and performance
- Investigate electrical test failures and correlate with process parameters
- Work closely with design teams to identify design-related yield sensitivities
- Utilize failure analysis feedback to guide corrective actions
- Drive yield enhancement projects from identification to implementation
- Document findings and present technical results to stakeholders
- Develop automated tools for yield data analysis and reporting
- Identify opportunities for process optimization to improve yield
- Support new product ramps by analyzing early yield data
- Ensure alignment between fab data and design rule checks
- Participate in technical reviews for process and product qualification
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of semiconductor process technologies
- Troubleshoot yield issues across multiple technology nodes
- Interface with external manufacturing sites for yield consistency
- Apply machine learning techniques to detect patterns in large datasets
- Support development of yield learning cycles and feedback systems
- Evaluate impact of process changes on overall yield metrics
- Contribute to design of experiments for yield improvement
- Monitor key performance indicators for yield stability
- Assist in developing yield models for future technology nodes
- Promote best practices in yield analysis across teams
