About the Role

The role involves leading planning projects from concept to approval, supporting strategic urban growth, and ensuring compliance with local, regional, and national regulations. Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and submission of planning applications and development proposals
  • Guide urban development projects through regulatory and approval processes
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and environmental specialists on integrated solutions
  • Engage with local authorities, government agencies, and community groups
  • Prepare and present planning statements, environmental assessments, and policy analyses
  • Support the development of local and regional planning strategies
  • Conduct site evaluations and feasibility studies for new developments
  • Advise clients on land use, zoning regulations, and development potential
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards
  • Mentor junior planning staff and contribute to team development
  • Stay current with changes in planning legislation and policy
  • Deliver public presentations and participate in planning hearings
  • Integrate sustainability principles into urban design and land use planning
  • Assist in the preparation of master plans and urban regeneration frameworks
  • Coordinate with legal and technical consultants on complex development issues
  • Ensure project compliance with environmental and planning laws
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Contribute to business development through proposal writing and client meetings
  • Use GIS and other spatial analysis tools to support planning decisions
  • Promote inclusive community engagement in the planning process

  • Assist in post-consent planning and implementation phases
