Wipro is looking for a Senior Test Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will focus on developing and executing detailed test plans for web and device-based social media applications, ensuring high-quality releases through manual and automated testing.
What You'll Do
- Develop detailed test plans for web-based and device-based applications, with a focus on social media applications and their software features.
- Develop detailed test cases and test suites for application features, change requests, and new business requirements.
- Execute test cases to validate new features, changes, defect regression, and new releases.
- Perform manual and automated testing across multiple platforms including mobile and desktop.
- Identify, isolate, and report bugs with clear reproduction steps and logs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to triage issues and verify fixes.
- Maintain test environments and manage test data for repeatable validation.
- Maintain test suites and defect logs.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and tools.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in software or hardware testing and QA roles.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test case design, and defect tracking.
- Experience in test management, defect management activities, and related tools.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or pytest.
- Good understanding of application management processes including software development, DevOps, deployments, and quality assurance.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across business, development, infrastructure, and security.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with social media applications, platforms, and media.
- Experience with social media application testing.
- Knowledge of social media application features and system integrations.
- Comfort working in fast-paced, experimental environments.
