As a Senior Technical Consultant - Zuora Billings, you will play a central role in shaping and delivering sophisticated billing architectures that support complex subscription and revenue models. You'll lead the full lifecycle of Zuora implementations, from gathering requirements to post-go-live support, ensuring solutions are aligned with financial, operational, and compliance needs.
What You'll Do
- Design and oversee end-to-end billing architectures in Zuora, including advanced product catalogs, subscription lifecycle flows, and multi-entity, multi-currency configurations.
- Develop and optimize custom workflows, rating logic, and billing rules to support global business models and scalable order-to-revenue processes.
- Build and maintain integrations between Zuora and core enterprise systems such as ERP platforms, tax engines, payment processors, CRM, and data warehouses using APIs and middleware technologies.
- Lead requirement-gathering sessions across finance, sales, and operations to identify gaps, resolve conflicts, and translate business needs into technical designs.
- Support financial close activities, including reconciliations, audit controls, and system stability, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Provide technical leadership during implementations, manage change and release processes, and conduct root cause analysis for critical production issues.
- Document solutions thoroughly, mentor junior team members, and contribute to governance forums with stakeholders and executives.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in Zuora Billing, including product and pricing configuration, usage processing, revenue recognition, and cash application.
- Proven experience integrating Zuora with enterprise systems such as Oracle ERP and payment gateways, and managing data pipelines and automated reconciliations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead technical design workshops and prototype solutions.
- Experience supporting financial compliance, audit controls, and month-end close processes in a SaaS environment.
- Self-directed with excellent communication skills, capable of working under pressure and managing multiple concurrent deadlines.
- Track record mentoring technical consultants and leading cross-functional collaboration.
