This role is responsible for managing corporate tax obligations, including compliance, reporting, and process improvements, while collaborating across teams to ensure accurate financial outcomes and strategic tax planning.
Responsibilities
- Manage federal, state, and international tax compliance activities
- Prepare and review corporate income tax returns
- Assist in quarterly and year-end tax provision calculations
- Identify and analyze tax risks and opportunities
- Support audits and examinations by tax authorities
- Maintain documentation for tax positions and filings
- Collaborate with external advisors on complex tax matters
- Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations
- Improve tax processes and internal controls
- Work with accounting teams to ensure accurate tax reporting
- Assist in the implementation of tax software and systems
- Evaluate the tax implications of business transactions
- Support transfer pricing documentation and compliance
- Coordinate with international offices on cross-border tax issues
- Prepare tax forecasts and cash flow estimates
- Contribute to month-end and quarter-end close activities
- Ensure compliance with SOX requirements related to tax
- Develop and maintain tax calendars and deadlines
- Provide tax guidance to internal stakeholders
- Assist in tax accounting for mergers and acquisitions
