Jobgether is looking for a Senior Systems Software Developer to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of advanced software systems in a complex technical environment. You will play a key role in implementing integrated infrastructure, supporting CI/CD processes, and ensuring solutions are secure and scalable.
What You'll Do
- Develop, maintain, and implement fully integrated systems software infrastructure, ensuring lifecycle environments are ready for use.
- Support and enhance Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes, including automated compilation, testing, and deployment.
- Minimize technical risk exposure while ensuring software solutions are secure, extensible, and scalable.
- Provide technical guidance and documentation for software integration, standard operating procedures, and project activities.
- Collaborate as an active member of an Integrated Project Team (IPT), supporting the adoption of the Iterative Enterprise Life Cycle (ELC) methodology.
- Work with IRS tax processing systems, including submission, corporate data, compliance, case processing, and modernized systems.
- Participate in configuration upgrades, delivery automation, backlog grooming, and Agile project activities to support iterative development.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 5 years professional experience in software development, with strong focus on systems software.
- Proficiency in Java (Java EE/SE, JSP, JSF, Hibernate) and service-oriented architecture (SOA) for web service development.
- Experience with Oracle 10g/11g, Oracle Real Application Clusters, and middleware technologies such as Drools.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab pipelines, automated testing, and Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of cloud-based development and deployment, containerization technologies (Docker, OpenShift).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and FISMA compliance in software development.
- US Citizenship and active IRS MBI clearance required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills with ability to work in cross-functional teams.
