Dune is looking for a Software Engineer to build and optimize the high-performance, real-time APIs that power crypto applications. You will play a crucial role in developing systems that directly impact user experience and make crypto data accessible.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and maintain high-performance, real-time APIs using Rust.
- Develop new features such as better interpretation layers, enhanced data decoding, and improved API coverage for blockchain data.
- Work on performance improvements like optimizing CPU usage, improving latency, and implementing caching strategies.
- Explore and implement cutting-edge data storage solutions and improvements.
- Focus on stability improvements, recovery processes, and system robustness.
- Contribute to internal developer experience by improving local test setups, integration tests, and deployment processes.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- 1+ year of working with Rust.
- Deep understanding of systems programming concepts, particularly in high-performance or real-time applications.
- Experience optimizing data storage and retrieval processes.
- Strong ability to diagnose complex problems in distributed and real-time systems.
- Work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with other engineers.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with technologies like Parquet or similar.
- Enjoy tackling performance problems and optimizing CPU usage and latency.
