TensorOps is seeking an On-Site Senior System Engineer responsible for multi-disciplinary infrastructure work. The ideal candidate will have a background across six or more infrastructure disciplines including network, security, operating systems, and data center operations.
What You'll Do
- Perform daily checklists to ensure service availability.
- Patch, test, troubleshoot, and maintain cabling records.
- Follow and maintain rack elevations, ensure lifting and safety protocols.
- Manage incidents, requests, and change management ticketing systems.
- Configure Top of Rack and Core switches with routing logic using Arista switches CloudVision.
- Configure Active Directory users and groups, maintain DNS records and zones, and set DHCP scopes.
- Administer and patch Linux and Windows Server operating systems.
- Manage firewall and MFA concepts using Palo Alto firewalls, GlobalProtect VPN, and Microsoft Entra ID MFA.
- Utilize CloudVision Cognitive Unified Edge and Forescout Network Access Control (NAC).
- Manage vSphere clusters, PowerScale storage arrays, and backup systems.
- Handle storage account offsite backups, Microsoft Arc endpoint management, and Microsoft Sentinel SEIM.
- Troubleshoot customer-provided applications, workstations, end-user computing laptops, and OT devices.
- Assist in the implementation of network infrastructure.
- Install, configure, and support network equipment including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Perform routine network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Troubleshoot network problems and outages, schedule upgrades, and collaborate with network architects for network optimization.
- Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access.
- Support and administer firewall environments in line with IT security policy.
- Report network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information; manage projects.
What We're Looking For
- Background across six or more infrastructure disciplines.
- General understanding of switch management having worked with and configured both Top of Rack and Core switches with routing logic (Arista switches CloudVision).
- Ability to configure Active Directory users and groups, maintain DNS records and zones, and set DHCP scopes.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows Server administration and patching.
- General firewall and MFA concepts and management logic (Palo Alto firewalls, GlobalProtect Remote Access VPN, Microsoft Entra ID MFA).
- Physically capable of racking and stacking servers, switches, and general datacenter equipment.
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling and installing equipment.
- Good manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
