Washington University in St. Louis is looking for a Senior SUBS Grant Analyst to serve as the central expert on outgoing subawards within research administration. In this role, you will independently review awards, enforce compliance, and provide expert guidance to faculty and administrators in the Office of Sponsored Research.

What You'll Do

• Prepare, review, and negotiate outgoing sub-agreements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the regulatory and legal framework governing sponsored research.
• Conduct detail-oriented reviews and provide expert guidance on compliance with University and external agency policies.
• Analyze sponsored research awards for required flow-down terms and assurances.
• Manage workload using status transparency for prioritization and ensure timely submission for approval.
• Administer and manage the SUBSystem template portfolio, institutional database, and internal process documents.
• Provide expert advice and training to research administrators and faculty on policies and processes.
• Develop and conduct instructor-led training and prepare materials for presentations and demos.
• Sign and approve outgoing subawards as delegated.
• Assist with updates to training and reference materials and train new and existing staff.
• Review and analyze current processes to ensure efficiency and spearhead special projects as a team leader.
• Participate in Workday grant support meetings and discussions.
• Analyze SUBSystem functionality to recommend and test configurations and enhancements across three environments.
• Share notifications with the user community regarding system changes and answer related questions.
• Participate with OSRS, IT, and the research community to track and prioritize issues.
• Document testing results and report to IT.
• Manage FFATA reporting and assist with Small Business Subcontracting Plans (SBSP) reporting.
• Assist with monthly volume and turn-around time reporting and prepare weekly status reports.
• Exercise sound judgment to create and approve Supplier Contracts in Workday for subrecipient funding.
• Assist the Manager with special projects and perform other tasks as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Research Administration.

Benefits & Compensation

• Compensation: $58,400.00 - $99,700.00 annually.
• Up to 22 days of vacation.
• 10 recognized holidays.
