AECOM is hiring a Senior Structural Engineer, Data Centers - Remote (U.S.)

This position involves leading structural design efforts for data center facilities, ensuring solutions meet safety, efficiency, and client requirements while working within a collaborative engineering environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead structural design and analysis for data center construction projects
  • Develop engineering drawings, specifications, and calculation reports
  • Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards
  • Perform site assessments and support field investigations
  • Review contractor submittals and provide technical feedback
  • Support project management with scheduling and budgeting tasks
  • Conduct structural evaluations for existing facilities
  • Apply industry best practices to optimize structural systems
  • Use structural analysis software for modeling and simulation
  • Prepare and present technical documents to internal teams
  • Coordinate with external consultants and vendors
  • Maintain quality control in design deliverables
  • Support permitting and regulatory approval processes
  • Assist in developing construction documentation
  • Provide guidance on material selection and structural systems
  • Troubleshoot structural issues during construction
  • Stay current with advancements in structural engineering methods
  • Mentor junior engineers and support team development
  • Ensure adherence to safety and sustainability standards
