Responsibilities
- Identify clients' core business challenges and anticipate the strategic questions they need to address
- Guide clients in defining and reaching their strategic and operational objectives
- Develop annual strategic and tactical roadmaps for clients, along with individual project plans as required
- Contribute to strategic planning efforts beyond existing accounts, including cross-functional support
- Strengthen and maintain trusted relationships with key client stakeholders
- Design, present, and manage projects aligned with client goals, ensuring successful execution
- Proactively suggest innovative strategies to enhance clients' brand and corporate performance
- Understand financial performance metrics and support profitability through effective resource management
- Act as a dedicated representative and trusted voice for the organization
- Pursue, develop, and engage in new business development opportunities
- Provide regular updates to leadership on the health and status of client relationships
- Participate in organizational programs and strategic initiatives as needed
- Lead and coordinate internal activities that support client objectives
- Oversee ongoing strategic communication between client teams and internal staff
- Operate as a trusted partner by fully owning and driving client business outcomes
- Monitor and optimize budget utilization and team productivity for mutual benefit
- Foster team growth by recognizing achievements, learning from setbacks, and sharing knowledge
- Train, mentor, and guide team members, with a focus on developing junior staff
- Monitor industry trends including scientific advances, regulatory changes, and competitor activity
- Continuously refine expertise in marketing and strategic planning to deliver higher value
- Expand professional networks to enhance influence and client impact
Team
The Senior Strategic Account Director leads and manages internal resources and provides oversight, coaching, and mentorship to Strategic Account Directors (SADs), Strategic Account Managers (SAMs), and Strategic Account Associates (SAAs) within their books of business.
