Cochise College is hiring a Part-time Senior STEM Tutor to provide academic tutoring services and lead support within our learning environment. In this role, you will work directly with students to strengthen their understanding of STEM subjects, manage lab operations, and facilitate a productive learning space both in person and through the online lab.
What You'll Do
- Tutor students individually or in groups to review STEM principles, solve problems, and prepare for tests.
- Assist students with computer use and address math and test anxiety concerns.
- Assist the Math Lab Supervisor with STEM Lab management and act as lead tutor in their absence.
- Provide input into operating policies, procedures, and learning materials.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- An Associate’s degree in a related field from a regionally accredited institution recognized by the US Department of Education.
Nice to Have
- A degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or Computer Science.
- Prior experience teaching or tutoring adult students.
Technical Stack
- Microsoft Office applications.
Team & Environment
You will report directly to the Math Lab Supervisor.
Work Mode
This is a hybrid position, supporting students both in-person and through the online lab.
