As a Senior Staff Tech Lead, you will shape the architecture behind large-scale systems that power autonomous fleet management and partner integrations. Your work will directly influence how vehicles are dispatched, monitored, and optimized in real time, enabling safe and efficient commercial deployment of self-driving technology.
What You'll Do
You'll design and implement cloud-based services that support both real-time and batch data processing, forming the backbone of fleet operations. You'll collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver features that improve autonomy performance and operational efficiency. By building resilient APIs and data pipelines, you'll ensure seamless communication between internal systems and external partners.
You'll translate complex operational metrics into intuitive tools that empower operators and improve decision-making. In parallel, you'll guide technical direction across teams, lead system-wide design initiatives, and ensure long-term scalability through thoughtful architectural planning.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 8+ years of software development experience with large-scale backend systems
- Proven ability to design and operate distributed systems in cloud environments
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and caching solutions
- Proficiency in building and maintaining gRPC services using Golang
- Experience working closely with product and design to deliver user-impacting features
- Track record of mentoring engineers and influencing technical strategy across teams
- Excellent communication skills—able to explain technical concepts clearly and incorporate feedback effectively
- Self-driven mindset with a focus on sustainable, high-quality delivery
Benefits
You'll work in a hybrid environment that supports flexibility while fostering collaboration. The culture values openness, empathy, and technical rigor, encouraging engineers to take initiative and solve meaningful problems. Your contributions will help shape systems that are both technically sound and operationally critical.
