Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical expert throughout the sales process, from initial contact to post-sale support.
- Collaborate with public sector prospects and customers to educate them and ensure their success on the platform.
- Leverage technical expertise to identify optimal solutions, train new customers, create documentation, and support long-term technology strategies.
- Possess strong technical knowledge of both on-premises and public cloud security and networking implementations common to US public sector customers.
- Serve as the technical advocate for customers, working closely with all teams, including Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Support.
- Qualify prospects and customers, discover technical requirements, lead demonstrations, identify and design solutions, and collaborate on proofs-of-concept (PoCs).
- Advise customers on technical best practices, product implementation, and strategic guidance as part of a dedicated account team.
Requirements
- Proven knowledge in internet technologies: OSI Model layers 1-7, Routing TCP/UDP, DNS (authoritative and recursive), HTTP(S), SSL / TLS.
- Experience with on-premises infrastructure and networking configurations, including legacy systems or methodologies.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a customer-facing sales or consulting role.
- Technical curiosity and passion for staying updated with industry trends and specific products.
- Focus on learning, teaching, collaboration, mentorship, and growth within the team and company.
- Strong project management, relationship building, and emotional intelligence skills.
- Understanding of firewalls, the differences between L3, L4, and L7 firewalls, and the term 'ACL'.
- Comfort with command-line interfaces, RESTful APIs, and analyzing HTTP requests and responses in a browser’s web inspector.
- Foundational understanding of AI, actively exploring or building AI-driven capabilities, and focusing on empowering prospects and customers to adopt AI.

- Certifications: Azure/AWS/GCP Architect, etc.
