yoummday is seeking a (Senior) Software Engineer (PHP/Symfony) to drive the evolution of our proprietary platform. In this role, you will apply proven engineering practices to build a scalable and future-proof solution, collaborating closely with experienced product people and engineers.
What You'll Do
- Take responsibility for developing our self-developed platform using established coding, design, and quality management methods.
- Build and enhance the web-based platform with modern approaches using PHP and Symfony, applying Clean Code principles and documenting your work.
- Contribute your experience to the conception and development of new features within your product team.
- Share technical knowledge in cross-functional formats to elevate team expertise.
- Serve as a technical contact and mentor for junior engineers.
- Participate in validation and functional testing of modern IT applications.
- Ensure the software solution evolves in an efficient, scalable, and future-proof manner.
What We're Looking For
- A completed education or degree in mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, or technology, or equivalent many years of professional experience.
- Proven, long-term experience developing web applications with PHP, Symfony, and MySQL.
- A willingness to experiment with unconventional ideas to advance platform development.
- The ability to think through complex systems and the needs of different user groups.
- High-quality standards and a genuine passion for software development.
- Proficiency in Git, containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes (K8s), and Jira.
- Confident communication skills in English.
