Kiln is looking for a Backend Engineer (Golang) to join our Software Team. You will help build the future of our SaaS and API-first products, contributing to architectural decisions, developing features in Golang services, and ensuring the reliability and security of our platform.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy.
- Develop and implement software features in Golang services, such as data aggregators, APIs, and blockchain transaction crafting.
- Take part in automation, testing, and CI/CD processes.
- Participate in code review, bug fixing, and code maintenance.
- Ensure our services communicate seamlessly, have minimal downtime, and recover quickly.
- Adhere to software security norms, supporting our SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 compliance.
- Actively suggest continuous improvements to Kiln's platform and engineering practices.
- Communicate with other Kiln teams to explain the Software roadmap and technical challenges.
What We're Looking For
- +3 years of experience as a Software Engineer (Backend), designing, building, and deploying user-facing, infrastructure-related, or API-based products.
- +1 year of professional Golang programming in a production environment.
- Familiarity with container and orchestrator technologies like Docker/Kubernetes, and Continuous Integration.
- Curiosity and the ability to deeply investigate topics and follow through.
- A pragmatic approach to avoid unnecessary over-engineering.
- Ownership of the code you ship to production.
- Proven interest in Web3, blockchain, and cryptocurrency.
- Fluent in both French and English.
Nice to Have
- Solid understanding of protocols, staking, and DeFi.
- Previous experience working within a certified environment like SOC2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, or HIPAA.
- Living close to Paris or London.

Team & Environment
You will join a Software Team of 14 engineers (Backend, Frontend, QA) split into squads. You will report to the Head of Software and collaborate closely with Product, Infrastructure, and Smart-Contract teams.
