About the Role
The role involves designing and maintaining infrastructure and tooling that support software delivery and developer productivity. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline deployment pipelines, improve observability, and reduce friction in development workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable systems that support continuous integration and deployment
- Optimize developer workflows to reduce build and deployment times
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify pain points in development processes
- Maintain and improve internal tooling used across product teams
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in deployment infrastructure
- Ensure reliability and performance of internal developer platforms
- Integrate monitoring and observability into delivery pipelines
- Support secure and compliant software release practices
- Drive adoption of best practices in CI/CD and infrastructure as code
- Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing for internal tools
- Evaluate and introduce new technologies to improve developer experience
- Work closely with platform and SRE teams on system improvements
- Automate repetitive development and deployment tasks
- Participate in incident response related to delivery systems
- Promote consistency and standardization across engineering environments
Nice to Have
- Experience with developer experience (DevEx) initiatives
- Background in platform engineering or internal tools development
- Contributions to open-source projects related to developer tooling
- Knowledge of service mesh technologies
- Experience with configuration management systems
- Exposure to large-scale distributed systems
- Understanding of software supply chain security
- Familiarity with observability stacks like Prometheus and Grafana
- Experience mentoring junior engineers
