About the Role
From day one, you will own delivery across these workstreams, working closely with senior engineers who are deep domain experts, and partnering with product managers to translate customer needs into a focused, well-prioritized roadmap. Operating in our async-first culture, you will drive execution through clear written communication, ruthless prioritization, and a relentless focus on shipping.
Responsibilities
- Own delivery across workstreams including data sync engine, query engine (DQL), and embedded database performance
- Work closely with senior engineers who are deep domain experts
- Partner with product managers to translate customer needs into a focused, well-prioritized roadmap
- Drive execution through clear written communication, ruthless prioritization, and a relentless focus on shipping
- Support and enable Staff+ engineers to be fast, focused, and well-supported
Requirements
- Background in database or adjacent products
- Experience thinking about performance, quality gates, and rollout strategies for critical infrastructure
- Ability to guide technical direction based on domain expertise
- Proven track record of delivering database or adjacent products
Nice to Have
- Years of experience in database systems or distributed systems
- Experience in people management or technical leadership
- Experience building or shipping critical infrastructure
