Sardine is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for our Compliance Team. In this pivotal, backend-focused role, you will design, construct, and maintain the APIs, services, and systems that power our compliance platform. You will be responsible for developing new features at scale, refining internal tooling, and contributing to both our technical roadmap and engineering culture.
What You'll Do
- Design, create, and maintain robust, efficient, and reliable backend services to meet platform needs.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to architect and implement new services from inception to delivery.
- Contribute to developing new features and capabilities that deliver substantial value to customers.
- Work with various engineering and product teams to synchronize efforts and deliver solutions.
- Craft and maintain user-facing technical documentation to enhance user understanding and adoption.
- Play a pivotal role in shaping the company's engineering culture and maintaining high engineering standards.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of proven experience as a Software Engineer specializing in systems design.
- A track record of successfully delivering high-quality production services and systems.
- Customer-centric approach with a strong emphasis on empathy towards users.
- Proficient in English – from casual chats to formal reports.
- Availability to overlap with early Eastern Standard Timezone morning hours.
Nice to Have
- Proficiency in Golang.
- Relevant industry experience, particularly in SAR or GOAML, banking or fintech.
- Domain knowledge in fraud prevention or compliance.
