Design and implement distributed systems that operate at massive scale, processing over 24 million queries per second with minimal latency. You'll be responsible for building efficient, resilient components and continuously refining both software and infrastructure to meet demanding performance standards.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain core modules within a highly scalable distributed architecture
- Optimize system performance to reduce response times and improve resource efficiency
- Ensure solutions are reliable, fault-tolerant, and capable of operating at global scale
- Build and run tests to verify correctness and performance under real-world conditions
- Evaluate emerging technologies for potential use in production environments
- Create and enhance monitoring tools to analyze system behavior in production
- Iterate on existing processes and tooling to improve developer and system efficiency
Requirements
- Strong programming skills with a deep understanding of system-level architecture across hardware, software, and algorithms
- Thorough knowledge of core Internet protocols such as DNS, HTTP, and cookie mechanisms
- Experience designing concurrent and distributed applications, from thread-level concurrency to globally distributed systems
- Proven ability to monitor, analyze, and interpret production system behavior
- Skilled in identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, from theoretical modeling to real-time troubleshooting
- Familiarity with challenges and solutions related to high scalability and high availability
- Fluency in English and Polish at C1 level or higher
