HackerOne is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Bug Bounty Product Line. In this role, you will serve as the technical lead for projects, building features for both our hacker community and customer companies while contributing as a collaborative team member.
What You'll Do
- Work as a project lead together with stakeholders, designers and product leaders.
- Build, ship and maintain highly-available, performant and durable features, focused on hacker-facing areas.
- Work with your team to deliver key results for impactful objectives.
- Be a part of cross-squad initiatives.
- Mentor and be mentored by other engineers.
- Identify and spearhead new initiatives, and make systematic improvements to technical weaknesses in codebases.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of development experience within a SAAS environment.
- Experience with dynamically typed, OOP languages such as JavaScript, Objective-C, PHP, Python or Ruby.
- Practical SQL experience (5+ years, PostgreSQL preferred).
- Practical experience with React JS or similar libraries.
- Experience leading technical projects through all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.
- GenAI experience.
- Hands-on expertise in applying AI and LLMs to real business functionality, with experience building and optimizing agentic workflows.
Nice to Have
- Ruby on Rails (2+ years of experience).
- React JS (2+ years of experience).
- GraphQL.
- Amazon Web Services.
- Ability to coordinate efforts around new initiatives with senior engineers and product managers.
