Pattern is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the cross-dock WMS team. You'll focus on backend development, building and maintaining the foundational pieces of our internal 'Shelf' platform that powers warehouse inventory and fulfillment operations. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Lehi, Utah.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain the core components of the Shelf platform that manages warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with engineers and operational leaders to understand requirements and build solutions for new projects.
- Proactively fix root causes of recurring issues during your on-call rotation to harden the software.
- Tackle backend challenges to maintain and improve the system's scalability and stability.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in a modern backend language like Ruby, Node.js, Java, Python, or Go.
- SQL expertise with experience in databases like PostgreSQL.
- Experience working in AWS.
- A proactive attitude with a passion for learning and taking on new challenges.
- Proven ability to lead projects and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Ruby on Rails is a plus.
