Paired is looking for a Senior Short-Form Video Editor to craft high-quality, engaging video content for social media platforms. In this role, you will lead the editing process, collaborate with creative teams, and optimize content for performance, all while working remotely for a US-based client company.
What You'll Do
- Lead the editing process for short-form video content, ensuring high-quality and engaging narratives.
- Collaborate closely with creative teams to develop concepts and storyboards for video projects.
- Optimize video edits for different social media platforms to enhance viewer engagement and performance.
- Incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine video content and improve overall quality.
- Stay current with video trends and editing techniques to keep content fresh and relevant.
- Manage multiple projects efficiently while adhering to tight deadlines.
- Train and mentor junior editors to enhance the team’s overall skill set.
- Utilize internal libraries and stock footage to enhance video narratives.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in video editing, particularly for short-form content.
- Expert proficiency in editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Strong creative vision and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft engaging narratives.
- Proven experience in video performance analysis to drive content strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a creative team and guide junior staff.
- Familiarity with motion graphics and sound design to enhance video content.
- Strong understanding of social media trends and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
