Accountabilities • Manage multiple significant service design initiatives from planning through research, synthesis, solution development, and delivery. • Collaborate intimately with senior product, design, research, and operations leadership to define challenges, prioritize opportunities, and guide strategic decisions. • Execute complex generative and evaluative research to expose motivations, behaviors, and systemic pain points. • Chart and model comprehensive service ecosystems, identifying gaps, risks, and interdependencies across roles, systems, and interactions. • Design and facilitate collaborative workshops to align stakeholders around transformative visions, guiding principles, and evolution roadmaps. • Develop future-state service models, prototypes, and operational workflows connecting strategy with execution and validating emerging experiences before widespread implementation. • Mentor team members and elevate design sophistication by refining methodological frameworks and organizational practices. • Apply holistic systems thinking to balance user needs, business goals, and operational limitations, ensuring every solution delivers quantifiable value. Requirements • Minimum 8 years of experience leading service design or experience strategy projects encompassing people, processes, and technology. • Demonstrated capacity to influence senior stakeholders, drive consensus, and transform ambiguity into structured plans and decisions. • Profound expertise in human-centered design, journey mapping, service blueprinting, and continuous service improvement methodologies. • Strong cross-functional collaboration experience spanning business, product, technology, marketing, and operations domains. • Capability to create and standardize frameworks, methods, and tools that enhance design practices organizationally. • Proficiency in facilitation and prototyping technologies like Miro, FigJam, and Figma. • Exceptional communication skills, with ability to craft compelling narratives connecting insights to actionable outcomes. • Remote work capability; preference for candidates based in or willing to engage with the Kansas City team.
