The Senior Security Architect leads the creation and deployment of advanced security frameworks for enterprise clients. This role demands strong technical proficiency in information security architecture, adherence to Canadian government security standards, and effective collaboration with internal teams and clients through clear communication.
Responsibilities
- Create and deliver information security architecture roadmaps and executive-level briefings
- Lead technical discussions and establish security requirements for complex projects
- Design and deploy integrated security solutions across network, cloud, endpoint, and data protection domains
- Perform security evaluations and ensure alignment with regulatory standards and compliance frameworks
- Provide expert guidance and support to internal teams and client organizations
- Maintain awareness of evolving cybersecurity threats, emerging technologies, and industry best practices
Requirements
- Active Government of Canada 'Secret' Security Clearance is required
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years focused on security architecture
- In-depth understanding of Security Authorization and Assessment (SA&A) processes, ITSG-22, ITSG-33, and SRTM mapping
- Experience applying ISO 2700x, TOGAF, ITIL, PCI-DSS, and Agile methodologies in enterprise environments
- Demonstrated ability to design solutions for authentication, encryption, governance risk and compliance (GRC), and identity and access management
- Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and experience handling sensitive and confidential information
Nice to Have
- Hold valid CISSP, TOGAF 9, or CSM certifications
- Background in business continuity planning, security auditing, and risk management practices
