Sanofi/Genzyme Corporation is hiring a Senior Scrum Master to drive agile transformation and excellence. In this role, you will coach teams on agile methodologies, facilitate ceremonies, remove impediments, and foster a culture of continuous improvement to help deliver value early and often. You will be instrumental in scaling agile across multiple cross-functional teams within our R&D-driven, AI-powered biopharma environment.
What You'll Do
- Lead and facilitate all agile ceremonies including PI Planning, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Guide teams through release planning, backlog refinement, and other scaled agile events.
- Coach teams and individuals on agile principles, values, and practices, mentoring less experienced Scrum Masters.
- Coach product owners on backlog refinements, prioritization and value-driven delivery.
- Provide Agile coaching to stakeholders and leaders to improve adoption and maturity.
- Proactively identify and remove impediments that hinder team productivity, collaborating with management to address systemic blockers.
- Partner with Engineering and Product leadership to improve flow, predictability, and quality.
- Drive data-driven improvement using Agile metrics like velocity, cycle time, and throughput.
- Foster a culture of experimentation, learning, and strong relationships with product owners, business stakeholders, and leadership.
- Support the implementation of scaled agile frameworks like Scrum of Scrums and coordinate dependencies across multiple teams.
- Contribute to the organization's agile community of practice.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer (RTE), Agile Coach, or similar role.
- 5+ years of experience working with multiple agile teams simultaneously and leading agile transformation across large cross-functional teams.
- 5+ years of experience working in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry, especially in the Laboratory space.
- Current certification in at least one of the following: CSM, PSM, SAFe SPC, or ICP-ACC.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and delivery processes.
- Experience with agile at scale in complex enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in driving agile transformation.
Nice to Have
- Experience with agile management tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, Miro, or Confluence.
- Proficiency in multiple agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, XP, SAFe, LeSS).
- Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and principles.
- Experience with distributed/remote team facilitation.
- Additional certifications such as PMI-ACP, ICP-ATF, or CTC.
- Experience in delivering large-scale Laboratory informatics solutions like ELN, LIMS, or SDMS.
- Expertise in managing and delivering Pharma GxP products and services.
