The Home Depot is hiring a Senior Scrum Master to be accountable for the on-time delivery of complex, multi-team technology solutions within a scaled Agile program. This strategic role combines advanced Agile facilitation with program management principles, serving as a dedicated servant leader who provides transparent reporting on progress, velocity, and financials.
What You'll Do
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies effectively and within timeboxes.
- Proactively identify and remove impediments to help teams achieve sprint goals.
- Lead and facilitate Scrum of Scrums.
- Develop a solid understanding of the product and underlying technology.
- Develop project plans, set milestones, and manage deadlines.
- Monitor progress, assess risks, implement mitigation strategies, and adjust schedules.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Apply DMO best practices and maintain required artifacts throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Define program strategy, objectives, and success metrics with Technology leadership.
- Engage with stakeholders regularly to ensure alignment and provide clear program status updates.
- Strategically manage and align a diverse set of stakeholders across business and technology.
- Foster and support multiple teams by removing obstacles and resolving complex dependencies.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the teams.
- Observe factors impacting team performance and velocity to apply learnings.
- Collaborate with Business Product Owners and Tech delivery teams to ensure sprint scope delivery.
- Assist in managing the product backlog and facilitate communication between the Product Owner and team.
- Support interaction within the team and with key members from Business and other Technology Teams.
- Participate in THD agile community meetups to contribute to and learn about best practices.
- Help the team understand the theory, practices, rules, and values of the Scrum framework.
- Coach and mentor others on Agile principles and practices.
- Drive alignment across teams by partnering with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and stakeholders.
- Report on key metrics such as progress, velocity, financials, risks, and issues.
- Identify and present relevant metrics to support Business and Tech stakeholder decision-making.
- Manage the complexities of large-scale programs by maintaining a comprehensive product understanding.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvements by identifying optimization opportunities.
- Lead and support technical delivery by applying a strong understanding of the SDLC and engineering best practices.
