As a Senior Research Scientist - Personalization, you'll lead high-impact research that directly influences how millions discover and engage with music and podcasts. Your work will center on advancing foundation models and generative AI, developing new approaches that deepen personalization through machine learning at scale.
What You'll Do
- Lead original research in machine learning, focusing on large-scale models and generative AI systems
- Design and validate novel algorithms, frameworks, and evaluation methods for recommendation systems
- Run rigorous experiments using real-world data to test and refine research-driven solutions
- Share findings through publications, conference presentations, and internal knowledge sharing
- Partner with engineering and product teams to translate research into long-term user benefits
- Help shape the strategic direction of personalization research and mentor others in the team
- Foster a culture of inquiry, collaboration, and technical excellence
What We're Looking For
- Advanced degree or equivalent experience in machine learning, AI, or a related discipline
- Minimum of two years of research experience in industry or academia
- Proven publication record in leading conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, or ICLR
- Strong expertise in machine learning, particularly in recommender systems, generative models, or representation learning
- Experience designing and analyzing experiments with large, real-world datasets
- Deep interest in understanding user behavior and enhancing content experiences
- Curiosity, creativity, and a methodical mindset for tackling complex, open-ended challenges
- Commitment to collaboration and integrating diverse viewpoints
