KoBold Metals is hiring a Senior R&D Engineer specializing in WebSocket technology to push the boundaries of real-time backend and full-stack systems.
What You'll Do
- Lead research and development of robust, scalable WebSocket-based communication systems.
- Design, implement, and optimize real-time data pipelines and streaming services.
- Architect solutions for low-latency, high-throughput connections within the backend ecosystem.
- Collaborate across teams to integrate real-time features into the full-stack platform.
- Mentor other engineers on WebSocket protocol best practices and advanced patterns.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Senior Engineer focused on WebSocket technology in backend or full-stack roles.
- Deep understanding of the WebSocket protocol, handshake process, and frame-level details.
- Expertise in building and maintaining high-availability, real-time systems at scale.
- Strong background in backend architecture, network programming, and concurrency models.
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote, research-oriented environment.
Work Mode
This is a remote position. Candidates must be located within the APAC region.
