Cognna is looking for a Senior Quality Control Tester to take ownership of the entire testing lifecycle, from crafting test strategies to building automation frameworks. You’ll ensure every release of our cybersecurity platform is reliable, secure, and high-quality while advocating for QA excellence across our global, remote-friendly engineering organization.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement comprehensive test strategies for complex applications and cybersecurity platforms.
- Develop and maintain robust automated test frameworks to accelerate release cycles.
- Lead testing efforts from planning to post-deployment validation.
- Build and execute automated test suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform thorough manual and automated testing for functionality, performance, and security.
- Ensure QA processes are seamlessly integrated with engineering and DevOps teams.
- Mentor junior QA engineers, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of quality.
- Analyze and report quality metrics to drive product and process improvements.
- Advocate for QA excellence across the engineering organization.
- Stay on top of industry tools, trends, and techniques to keep our QA practices cutting-edge.
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to our quality stack.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of hands-on QA engineering experience, ideally in high-growth tech environments.
- Deep knowledge of testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or similar.
- Solid scripting skills (Python, Bash, or equivalent) for automation tasks.
- Experience testing RESTful APIs using Postman or similar tools.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and test automation integration.
- A detail-oriented mindset with a passion for building reliable, high-quality software.
- A proactive team player who thrives in cross-functional collaborations.
- A critical thinker who brings both creativity and precision to problem-solving.
- A clear communicator who can explain testing outcomes and advocate for quality in every release.
