Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Senior QA Engineer to join our fully remote, Europe-based team. You will help elevate the quality, reliability, and maintainability of our complex SaaS ecosystem built on Node.js microservices and React applications. Your role will define testing strategies, expand automation coverage, and act as a guardian of quality across multiple domains in our fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain automated test strategies, frameworks, and guidelines across projects.
- Write efficient, reusable, and testable code to support high-performance applications.
- Expand and optimize end-to-end, integration, and unit testing suites using Cypress, Playwright, and Jest.
- Collaborate with engineers and product teams to continuously validate acceptance criteria.
- Perform code reviews with a focus on quality, test coverage, and maintainability.
- Identify testing blind spots and develop strategies to address them effectively.
- Monitor and maintain SAST/DAST tooling, ensuring alignment with quality goals.
- Champion continuous improvements in QA processes and engineering standards across the organization.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to peers within cross-functional teams.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in software QA automation, ideally in a SaaS or microservice environment.
- Expertise with test frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, Jest, or Vitest.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
- Proficient in CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitLab, Docker, and/or Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with SAST/DAST tools like SonarQube and error monitoring solutions such as DataDog.
- Skilled in performing constructive and insightful code reviews.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
- Must reside in and hold a valid work permit for an EU country.
Nice to Have
- Experience with React, NestJS, and GraphQL is a plus.
- Experience using AI tools (e.g., Junie, Cursor) is a nice-to-have.
