Smart Working Solutions is looking for a Senior QA Engineer with specialized expertise in DRM (Digital Rights Management) and TV & streaming platforms. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of complex media delivery systems in a fully remote capacity.
What You'll Do
- Design and execute comprehensive test strategies for DRM-protected content and streaming services
- Develop and maintain automated test suites for TV and streaming applications
- Lead quality assurance efforts for complex media delivery pipelines
- Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution
- Collaborate with development and product teams to refine requirements and acceptance criteria
- Perform integration, regression, and performance testing for streaming features
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in QA engineering with a focus on DRM technologies (e.g., Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay)
- Strong background testing TV, OTT, and streaming platforms (e.g., web, mobile, smart TVs)
- Experience creating and executing detailed test plans for media playback, content encryption, and license delivery
- Proficiency in API testing (REST, GraphQL) and using tools like Postman or Charles Proxy
- Solid understanding of video streaming protocols (HLS, DASH) and codecs
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with test automation frameworks relevant to media applications
- Knowledge of compliance and certification testing for major platform stores
- Familiarity with cloud media services (AWS Elemental, Azure Media Services)
Work Mode
This is a full-time, fully remote position. Candidates must be located in India, with preferred hubs in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, or Mumbai.
