Planning Center is looking for a thoughtful and detail-oriented QA Tester to join our team. You'll play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of our web and mobile applications used by church staff and volunteers. You'll partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to identify issues early, verify new features, and advocate for our customers' experience.
What You'll Do
- Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to review new features and changes, identifying risks and ensuring requirements are clear and testable.
- Thoroughly test new features and improvements across web and mobile platforms, validating functionality, usability, edge cases, and real-world workflows.
- Write clear, actionable bug reports that help engineers quickly understand, reproduce, and resolve issues, and verify fixes once they are implemented.
- Help improve our QA processes, documentation, and test coverage by identifying gaps and refining workflows.
- Investigate customer-reported issues by reproducing bugs, gathering context, and collaborating with Support and Engineering to ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in team discussions and retrospectives to contribute to a friendly, supportive, and quality-focused team culture.
What We're Looking For
- You reside in the United States and are eligible to work here.
- You are willing to travel three times each year to connect with the team.
- You have 1-2 years of experience in software testing.
- You have knowledge of various phases of the SDLC and how QA fits into it.
- You have an eagerness to learn new tools, technologies, and testing techniques.
- You have experience with bug tracking and version control systems.
- You have experience in conducting Beta testing and managing rollout strategies.
- You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You have strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and manage tasks.

- Prior experience in test planning and execution.
